Former Cowboys and 49ers guard passed away on June 2

Allen was a 14-time Pro Bowler and eight-time All-Pro

Larry Allen, a legendary NFL offensive guard who played for the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers, has died at the age of 52.

Allen's death was confirmed by the Pro Football Hall of Fame on June 2, 2024. No cause of death has been released.

Allen was a six-time All-Pro selection with the Cowboys, where he played from 1994 to 2005. He also earned two Pro Bowl selections with the 49ers, whom he played for from 2006 to 2008.

Allen played in 215 regular-season games and 23 playoff contests over his 14 NFL seasons. He was known for his exceptional strength and athleticism, and was widely considered one of the best offensive linemen of his generation.

Allen was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2013. His legacy as a dominant force on the offensive line will continue to inspire NFL players and fans for years to come.
